North Texas non-profits are not letting the summer heat slow down their efforts, including adding new members to their leadership. The latest to do so is United To Learn with Renda Mathew and Anne Wicks joining the board that includes new Chair Ben Leal, new Treasurer Elizabeth Martin and new Secretary Laura Whitley, as well as Lindsay Billingsley, Alan Cohen, Jon Dahlander, Margaret Hirsch, Dr. Pamela Lear, Patty Leyendecker, Jessica Nowitzki, Drexell Owusu, Karen Pollock, James Walton and CEO Abigail Williams.

Co-chaired by Drexell Owusu and Karen Pollock, the United to Learn’s Advisory Council has added Victoria Brown, Rev. Robin Hinkle, Laura Leathers, Mark Ramirez, Dr. Tanya Shelton and Jarrad Toussant.
According to Abigail, “We are thrilled to welcome Ben Leal as our new chair, while we also extend our heartfelt thanks to Margaret Hirsch for her incredible leadership as she transitions to the past chair role. Our new board and advisory council members are key to advancing our mission and sharing our vision of accelerating student achievement and developing purposeful leaders in the community.”
