“The JLD’s wish this holiday season is for the community to make plans to join us for the 54th annual Junior League of Dallas Ball, themed ‘To Dallas With Love,’ on Saturday, February 20, 2016.
“Inspired by James Bond, this year’s theme will embrace the hard work of the more than 5,000 trained JLD volunteers, who with every act of kindness, serve as secret agents within the community. Together, our members provide more than 130,000 uncompensated hours of community service each year. Our wish is for you to help us continue to do so by providing funding in support of the JLD and our annual Ball.
“By purchasing a ticket or sponsoring a table, you allow the opportunity for us as a League to further serve the city of Dallas, by carrying out our mission, which is to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Whether tutoring students, rocking infants, or providing scholarships to further our youth’s education, our members strive to be truly connected to the community and are dedicated to ensuring each donated dollar is put toward helping those in Dallas who need it most.
“This year, the annual Ball will feature three entertainers throughout the evening, including: Dallas-based singer/songwriter/band leader Hunter Sullivan and his trio; the Lone Star Wind Orchestra; and the upbeat Think Big Party with the Bulletproof Brass Band. Not to mention, Tom Addis Productions will bring James Bond to life for guests and create the exciting 007 inspired evening, which will also feature a fantastic big board silent auction.
