But in the case of the former Cattle Baron’s Ball‘s Chairs’ Luncheon on Monday, May 9, at Neiman Marcus Downtown, the guests (Vicki Chapman, Janie Condon, Jennifer Dix, Tanya Foster, Leslie Fricke, Diana Hamilton, Olivia Kearney, Cindy Lindsley, Lynn McBee, Wendy Messmann, Mary Martha Pickens, KJ Sanger, Brooke Shelby, Lisa Shirley, Sunie Solomon, Kristi Sherrill Hoyl, Cindy Stager, Anne Stodghill, Jill Tananbaum, Cindy Turner, Barbara Underwood, Andrea Weber, Jacque Wynne and Katherine Wynne) were the ones doing the talking.
At a beautifully set table that extended across the back of the Zodiac Room, former leaders of the legendary North Texas cancer research fundraiser took turns recalling highlights from their tenures.
The only disappointment of the day was the failed surprise party for Mary Parker (2013), who was coming from Arkansas. The gift was there; the card was signed; but Mary was a no-show … and with good reason.
